This is likely to be a cable problem. Try with a different cable if you have one handy. Cheaper cables are more likely to do this, particularly if they are quite long (over 5 metres) 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.

Probably a loose cable connection. Try fiddling around with the cable while it's on and see if it helps. 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.
- I have the same problem. Connected another tv to the same aerial source and picture is fine so it must be the tv tuner. Only happens over a specific frequency range mainly ITV, and guess what it is just out of warranty. Hope this helps someone.

This sounds like a poor signal. Go into the menu and see if you can check the signal strength. To solve this, you will need to either (1) Retune your TV to a more local transmitter, (2) Improve / reposition your TV aerial, or (3) Check the cable that connects your TV to the aerial - replacing this will be easier and cheaper that replacing the antenna. 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.

First solution: check the power. Yes, I know it's obvious, but if the fuse has gone in the plug, if the cable is loose or if you've overlooked a second power switch, this might be your problem. If you have any indication of power at all (e.g. power light), you can discount this. Alternative Solution: Is the plug in/on also have you checked the cables are in correctly (it's worth checking them over) 0 out of 2 people found this solution helpful.
Problem: When i turn on my TV, i can see the green light to indicate it is on. The TV then starts to make noises as if the DVD is being ejected. The TV remains black and nothings happens.

- First you need to know if the HDMI connection should also carry the sound? Answer is yes it should. Now indeed you might be able to get the sound by using a seperate 3.5mm stereo jack lead BUT you shouldn't have to. Can you get sound from any other sources or is it just HDMI that doesn't work? Try the FREEVIEW, the DVD player. Do any support sound activity? From the answer to these questions you will know if it's ageneral sound fault or confined just to the HDMI. This in turn will govern where in the circuitry to start looking for the snag.

You might need to send a separate audio cable to your TV, even if you're connecting via HDMI. 0 out of 0 people found this solution helpful.

If you have a problem and the TV is under a year old, contact your retailer to arrange a repair or replacement. Under the Sale of Goods Act, you should be covered for at least a year and maybe longer.
TV repairs have changed a lot over the years and although modern TVs are much more complicated than traditional TVs, they are still repairable. Often, there is a simple solution, so make sure you try everything before taking your TV apart or paying for repairs.
