(Click on a problem to see the solution)The picture is very poor on freeview. I get interference, blocks appearing, clicking sounds and a generally unwatchable picture.
How do I connect my computer to my TV? I can't seem to get any sound.
I get a green or blue screen, but I can hear the sound coming from the TV channel.
Picture has speckles or sparkles while watching.
Picture comes on, then goes off, sometimes flickers.
The TV won't turn on.
My Technika 39" TV started making a sparking noise when the switch was used, so we left it in standby and just used the remote, now it won't come on at all, it's about 18 months old, what can I do please help

The screen keeps coming up with scan in progress , do not switch off and when finished comes up with the same message time and time again

The resolution of the LCD 32-70 tecnica TV.= 1920 x 1080.9fixed). the idea is to use it as a comp monitor becauase 99.00 5 of the programmes are eitrhyer junk, violent, involve police , courts, selfish property opportunists, actresses bent on fame, rigged news by the establ in conjunction with privcate enterprise, charities, sport university professor scandles etc. So it sits there un used.We found out that using it in the way we hoped is not straight forward many of the computer graphics boards have resolutions which are not deasd on the TVs needed setting. The nearest we got is 1920 x 1200. Theres loads stories on the net about poeoples attempts to do what we want and many are hair raising.they are trying DVi / VGA / HTMI and other ways with no luck.. we are told that often the TV will attempt to match the input but a black border appears alll rounbd the screen. the TV has the very out dated VGS port and the modern HDMi ports..we tried inputting with VGA but the picture was horrible because our comp has no where near the required resol.we thought of using a 'tablet' but those things are a joke and the higher resol ones cost over £100 if the have HDMI ports.theres a converter for USB which will make the computer supply a good signal but we have not pursued that yet.we now are looking at uprated graphics boards but are hitting probs witrh the power ratings of the comp main board .. we dont know what to do next other thasn get out the UK. but where to go is a puzzle.we certainly dont want any more police violence but thats another story.The TV contary to what people are saying is ok.moderated ? yeah we know all about that.
Hi I have this telly 39-C273 we have phoned tesco technical saport three times for the software to up date it and they say they will send it to us by email to put on a new u s b memory stic ,but they just don't send it .we paid engineer to look at it because when you turn it on the picture is black and it just keeps saying scanning and it goes to 100pc then starts again he said we have to phone tesco wich we have tried .is there any way we could find the soft wear on the Internet to put on our U s b stick please thankyou from Mr stoner

When changing channels, if the programme has finished a notice comes on to say this and says press ok to cancel. So I press ok, however for each tome this happens the TV continues to switch to that channel at the same time every day. How do I cancel this?

Solution 1: This sounds like a poor signal. Go into the menu and see if you can check the signal strength. To solve this, you will need to either (1) Retune your TV to a more local transmitter, (2) Improve / reposition your TV aerial, or (3) Check the cable that connects your TV to the aerial - replacing this will be easier and cheaper that replacing the antenna.

Solution 1: You might need to send a separate audio cable to your TV, even if you're connecting via HDMI.

Solution 1: Golden rule 1: Change channel and see if you can change back and make it work.
Golden rule 2: Turn it off and on again.

Solution 1: This is likely to be a cable problem. Try with a different cable if you have one handy. Cheaper cables are more likely to do this, particularly if they are quite long (over 5 metres)
